WavGet Setup & Usage
Install your WavGet in your Mirc folder. Open it using either the shortcut on your start menu or by typing /wavget.
On Wavget, click the folder icon to open the Setup window. (Or on the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Setup.)
In the Setup window, click the tab for Options. Make sure only boxes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 & 9 are checked.
In the Setup window, click the tab for WavDir. On the left top side, make sure the correct HD is listed for where you keep your wavs. Under that area, find the folder for your wavs and click the folder to highlight it. (Your wavs should now show up in the next area down.) Near the bottom, click the box for "Show All Files From All Dirs In All Files".
In the Setup window, click the tab for DCC. Make sure the box for "Handle !Nick DCC Requests" is checked. Under that, select your "Total Max" send and your "Nick Max" send options.
Click the big "OK" in the top right corner to close the Setup window.
On the Wavget toolbar go to File/Save Settings.
Playing your wavs to channel: Click any wav in the "right side" Wavget window, then click the speaker icon.
Playing your wavs to yourself: Double click any wav in the "right side" Wavget window.
Grabbing wavs from channel: Double click any wav you want in the "left" Wavget window. When the send box pops up, click "accept".
After the send is complete, the wav will transfer to the "right" window and you can play it. =)
Registering Wavget: To stop that annoying reminder window from popping up all the time, you need to register your Wavget. You can
do this at the Wavget webpage: www.wavget.com. It's a very small price to pay for a great program!
Tips & Tricks
Stop a wav from playing: Right" click the X icon.
Clear the "left" window: "Left" click the X icon.
Rename a wav: Click the wav to highlight it, then hit "insert" on your keyboard. Enter the new name. (Be sure to keep the .wav extension!)
Delete a wav: Click the wav to highlight it, then hit "delete" on your keyboard.
Check for incomplete wavs: On the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Check Wav Files.
Count your wavs: On the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Wav Counters. You
can also choose to show your wav total to channel or not while there.
Update your directory: On the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Update Directory.
Find a wav file: On the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Find File. Enter one key word from the wav's name and click "Files". All the wavs with that word will show in the white box. Click the one you want to highlight it, then click "Go To".
Quickly scroll to a wav: "Left" click anywhere in the right side Wavget window, then in the same window, type the first couple letters of the wav name. It will scroll to the first wav in your list that starts with those letters.
Stop autoplay after a get: Click the folder icon on Wavget to open the setup window, then click the tab for "Thanks". Uncheck the box for "Automatically Play File On Successful Transfer". Click the big "Ok" to close the setup window, then on the main Wavget toolbar go to File/Save Settings.
Remove catalog name: Remove the catalog name from your play messages by clicking the folder icon on Wavget to open the setup window. Click the tab for "Catalog" and uncheck the box for "Add Catalog Name To Play Message". Click the big "ok" and click File/Save Settings on the main Wavget toolbar.
Adjust the volume: "Right" click the speaker icon on Wavget and raise or lower the volume. "Right" click again to close it.
Direct wavs to channel: On the Wavget toolbar, click Play/Wavaddiction instead of Active Channel. (This option will need to be reset every time you open Wavget.)
Handling queues: Click the folder icon to open the setup window. Click the tab "DCC". If you want to use the Queue feature,
check the box "Queue Requests" (about halfway down
on the Setup/DCC window). Then you can also check
box for "Remove After 15 Mintues" if you want. Click the big "ok" to close the setup window & go to File/Save Settings on the Wavget toolbar.
Removing queues: Occassionally, you might want to remove a person's
wavs from your queue. To do this, click the folder icon
on Wavget, then click the tab "DCC". Click a wav in
the long box at the bottom of that window & hit Delete
on your keyboard. Repeat as needed. Click the big
"ok" to close the setup window.
Make a List: On the Wavget toolbar, go to File/Generate List.
Setup the random play feature:
1. Click the folder icon on Wavget to open the setup window.
2. Click the tab for "Catalog", then make sure the box next to "All Files" is checked.

4. Use the slidebar to select how often a new wav will play. (No less than 45 seconds,
5. Check the box for "Use Selected Cats".
6. Click the big "Ok" to close the setup window, and on the main Wavget toolbar go to
Use random play:
To activate random play, "left" click the circle icon on Wavget. (Between the X and the folder icon.)
To change the time settings after the initial setup (above), "right" click the circle icon and set the new time you want elapsed between each wav playing. "Right" click again to close it.
