|Ham Bone||One that still has some ham on it|
|Sliced Potatoes||Depends on how much you want to make:)|
|Diced Onion||One medium or large|
|Margarine||Anywhere from a half to a whole stick|
|Milk||A couple splashes|
|Boil the ham bone until you can easily remove the meat. Set the meat aside, save the water, but discard the bone. Add the potatoes and onion to the water and simmer until almost tender. Drain off all but about one inch of the water. Return the ham to the pot, add the margarine and a couple splashes of milk. Continue simmering until the potatoes are tender. If it's too soupy, add a shake or two from a box of instant mashed potatoes to thicken it up;)|
Add a handful or two of shredded cheddar cheese.
Add diced carrots or a can of drained peas to add some color.
